How the final score is calculated

There is no separate written test for this recruitment. The selection has three parts:

Part Weightage
GATE 2026 marks (out of 100, corresponding paper) 85%
Group Discussion 3%
Personal Interview 12%
Total 100%

Because GATE carries 85% of the weight, your GATE score decides whether you are called for the GD and interview at all.

Shortlisting for GD and interview

You must be qualified in the matching GATE 2026 paper (EE, EC, CE or CS as per your discipline). Qualified candidates are shortlisted category-wise for GD and interview based on their normalized GATE marks out of 100, using the criteria decided by the management. The GD and interview can be given in Hindi or English.

Interview qualifying marks

You must qualify in the Personal Interview to be considered for empanelment. The group discussion has no qualifying marks.

  • Unreserved / EWS: 40%
  • OBC (NCL) / SC / ST / PwBD: 30% (for posts reserved for that category)

Shortlisted candidates may also take a psychometric assessment. Its result is used only as an input during the interview.

Tie-break rule

If two or more candidates get equal marks, they are empanelled in order of date of birth, with the eldest placed first. Offers are issued category-wise in merit order, depending on requirement, and appointment depends on passing the pre-employment medical examination.

Service agreement bond

Selected candidates must sign a bond to complete the training and then serve the organization for at least three years. The bond amount is Rs. 5,00,000 for General / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates and Rs. 2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Eligibility points to remember

  • Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Practical tips

  • Keep your GATE 2026 application number, registration number, admit card and scorecard ready, as you need them while applying and at verification.
  • Check how your university converts CGPA to percentage and keep the certificate handy. If it has no scheme, the advertisement says to divide your CGPA by the maximum CGPA and multiply by 100.
  • Keep category, OBC (NCL) or EWS certificates in the latest prescribed format. Government or PSU employees need a No Objection Certificate for the interview.
