State Bank of India has invited online applications for 60 regular Specialist Cadre Officer posts of Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security), under advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/28. The posts are meant for former commissioned officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force and for officers of para-military forces, and a graduate degree in any discipline is required. Applications are accepted from 04 November to 25 November 2026, and selection is by an online test followed by an interview.

Manager (Security), MMGS-III Rs 85,920-2680/5-99,320-2980/2-1,05,820. Deputy Manager (Security), MMGS-II Rs 64,820-2340/1-67,160-2680/10-93,960. Plus DA, HRA, CCA, NPS and other allowances as per bank rules.
Eligibility Criteria

SHAPE-1 medical category required.

About SBI Manager (Security) / Deputy Manager (Security) Recruitment 2026 – 60 Posts
Post-wise vacancies
The notice lists one combined line for Manager (Security), grade MMGS-III, and Deputy Manager (Security), grade MMGS-II. In all there are 60 vacancies: 9 for SC, 4 for ST, 16 for OBC, 6 for EWS and 25 unreserved. The bank says the numbers are provisional and may change with its requirement. Posting can be anywhere in India.
Eligibility in detail
- A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution, as on 31 October 2026.
- Manager (Security): an officer not below the rank of Major in the Indian Army (or equivalent in the Navy or Air Force) with at least 10 years of commissioned service, or not below Deputy Commandant in a para-military force with at least 10 years as an officer.
- Deputy Manager (Security): not below the rank of Captain (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of commissioned service, or Assistant Commandant in a para-military force with at least 5 years as an officer.
- Medical fitness in SHAPE-1 or an equivalent category is needed, and the medical category document must be uploaded with the application.
Selection process
The online test has four objective papers of 50 questions each: Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness and Professional Knowledge. Only Professional Knowledge (100 marks) counts towards merit; the other three are qualifying. There is no negative marking. The interview carries 100 marks, and the final merit list uses 70% weight for the test and 30% for the interview.

Important points
The tentative schedule is the online test in December 2026, interviews in December 2026 or January 2027 and the final result in January or February 2027. Only the last valid application is kept if someone applies more than once, and the fee is not refunded.
