MTS Pay Level 1, Rs 18,000 – 56,900. Junior Engineer Pay Level 6, Rs 35,400 – 1,12,400 (Delhi Transco JE: Pay Level 8, Rs 52,000 – 1,51,100).

Post-wise vacancies
The advertisement covers two post codes. Post code 809/26 has Junior Engineer posts: 67 at New Delhi Municipal Council, 3 at Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board, 26 at the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, 75 at Delhi Transco Limited and 14 at Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board. Post code 810/26 has Multi-Tasking Staff posts, led by 757 General Duty posts and 239 Aaya (Female) posts in the Directorate of Education, with smaller numbers in Trade & Taxes, Weights and Measures, Land & Building and other offices. The Board says all vacancies are tentative and based on inputs from the departments.
Eligibility in detail
- MTS: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board. Age 18 to 27 years, with relaxation for departmental candidates as stated in the notice.
- Junior Engineer: a degree or diploma in electrical engineering from a recognised institute; some departments also ask for experience, so read the post-wise table for your department.
- Pay: MTS posts are Pay Level 1 (Rs 18,000 to 56,900). JE posts are Pay Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400), and Delhi Transco JE is Pay Level 8.
Selection process
Junior Engineer posts have a two-tier examination: Tier-I and Tier-II, both of 200 marks, with Tier-I used to shortlist for Tier-II. MTS posts have a single 200-mark objective test of two hours covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Arithmetical and Numerical Ability and Hindi. A wrong answer carries a deduction of 0.25 marks.

- Pay the fee online through SBI e-pay.
- Keep a copy of the submitted form.
Important points
- The fee is Rs 100. Women, SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen are exempt; ex-servicemen already in regular civil jobs after using the reservation are not.
- Fees are not refunded.
- The exam date will be announced later on the Board's website.
