State Bank of India (SBI) has announced 7680 regular vacancies for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in its clerical cadre under advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17. Graduates aged 20 to 28 years could register online between 11-08-2026 and 31-08-2026. Selection is through an online preliminary exam, an online main exam and a test of the local language. Vacancies are filled state-wise, and each candidate may apply for one State/UT only.

- Pay scale: Rs.24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. Starting basic pay: ₹26730 (₹24050 plus two advance increments for graduates). Total starting emoluments at a metro like Mumbai: around ₹46,000 per month including D.A. and other allowances. Allowances vary by place of posting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. The degree (including an integrated dual degree) must be passed on or before 31-12-2026; final-year/semester students may apply provisionally and must show proof of passing by that date if selected. Matriculate ex-servicemen holding the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or the Navy/Air Force equivalent) after at least 15 years of service are also eligible, with the certificate dated on or before 31-12-2026. Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the specified local language of the State/UT applied for.

Upper age relaxation: OBC 3 years; SC/ST 5 years; PwBD (Gen/EWS) 10 years; PwBD (OBC) 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST) 15 years; Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: actual service in defence + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen of SC/ST), up to a maximum age of 50; widows, divorced women and judicially separated women not remarried: 7 years (maximum age 35 for General/EWS, 38 for OBC, 40 for SC/ST); trained SBI apprentices: GEN/EWS 1 year, OBC 4 years, SC/ST 6 years, PwBD (Gen/EWS) 11 years, PwBD (OBC) 14 years, PwBD (SC/ST) 16 years. Relaxations cannot be combined.

Overview of the Notification
State Bank of India has released advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17 to fill 7680 regular vacancies of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales), a clerical cadre post. Under SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026, each candidate may seek vacancies of only one State/UT and must know the local language specified for it.
Important Dates

Who Can Apply
- A graduate in any discipline, with the result declared on or before 31-12-2026
- Aged 20 to 28 years on 01-04-2026, with relaxation for reserved groups
- Not a current SBI clerical employee, nor a former one who resigned from that cadre
Exam Pattern
- Preliminary: 100 objective questions in one hour covering English, numerical ability and reasoning
- Main: 190 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours 40 minutes
- One quarter of a question's marks is cut for each wrong answer
- A local language test applies to those who did not study the language in Class 10 or 12
Only Main exam marks count for the final state-wise, category-wise merit list. Trained SBI apprentices who meet the stated conditions receive 5 bonus marks out of 200.
Pay and Service Conditions
- Starting basic pay of ₹26730, and total monthly pay of about ₹46,000 in a metro such as Mumbai
- Probation of at least six months
- No transfer to another circle or state in the first five years
- The work involves customer calls, product sales and possibly outdoor travel and shift duty
