IBPS SO Recruitment 2026 (CRP SPL-XVI) – Specialist Officers

IBPS is running the common recruitment process CRP SPL-XVI to fill Specialist Officer (Scale I) posts in public sector banks, for vacancies of 2027-28. The posts are IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer. Applications were open from 1 to 21 July 2026.

The preliminary exam scores and the main exam call letters were released on 22 October 2026.

The posts are spread across the participating public sector banks. Some banks have not reported vacancies for some posts. IBPS issued an updated vacancy list on 20 July 2026.

Eligibility in detail

All posts need an age of 20 to 30 years on 01-07-2026. The degree depends on the post:
- IT Officer: a four-year engineering degree in computer science, IT or electronics branches, or a related postgraduate degree
- Agricultural Field Officer: a four-year degree in agriculture or an allied field
- Rajbhasha Adhikari: a postgraduate degree in Hindi or Sanskrit with English at graduation level
- Law Officer: an LL.B. and enrolment as an advocate
- HR/Personnel Officer: a graduate plus a two-year full-time PG degree or diploma in HR or a related subject

Selection process

The IBPS SO Recruitment 2026 has an online preliminary exam, an online main exam and an interview. Candidates are then provisionally allotted to banks. You must clear the cut-off in each test of the preliminary exam to move on.

Important points

• The tentative schedule puts the main exam in November 2026 and interviews in November/December 2026.
• Candidates who qualified the prelims can now download the main exam call letter from the IBPS website.
