The Railway Recruitment Boards notified CEN No. 04/2026 for various posts of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant in Pay Level 6. Corrigendum No. 1 of 18 August 2026 added the CMA posts and raised the total to 4,029 vacancies across all RRBs.
Online applications ran from 14 August to 13 September 2026. The first-stage CBT was held on 27–28 October 2026; for candidates at four Andhra Pradesh cities whose exam was postponed, it is now on 2 November 2026.
